EHA aims for long-term relations with its sponsors and has further strengthened the benefits for EHA corporate sponsors during the EHA Annual Congress. EHA believes that a creative collaboration between professional organizations and their industrial partners is essential for positive development in any field of medicine.

The Corporate Sponsor Program has been developed further during 2003-2007 and new companies have joined the group of sponsors. Sponsor contributions are used to improve current activities of EHA and to launch new development programs. An important example of the former is the EHA Fellowship Program, which encompasses up to four EHA Research Fellowships. Another aspect is the extended EHA Education Program with several new workshops in 2008.
EHA continuously strives to strengthen its relations with its sponsors. Individual discussions with each sponsor take place annually. These have allowed a new sponsor policy to be established in which different sponsorship levels are based on the total amount contributed by sponsors to the EHA corporate sponsorship program. This policy includes a points system which clearly differentiates priorities. To enable EHA to further develop the EHA Fellowship Program, the EHA scientific workshops and other long term projects, EHA aims at three-year contracts.
EHA encourages all sponsors to communicate with the chair of the Sponsor Committee or with other board members, their ideas on how to improve their collaboration with the association. EHA is eager to receive feedback on the arrangements related to the EHA annual congress and on the ongoing EHA projects, as well as ideas for new projects. Communication should be directed to sponsorship@ehaweb.org and will be forwarded to the Executive Board or the Sponsor Committee.
At each EHA congress all corporate sponsors will be invited for an individual meeting with a member of the Sponsor Committee. In addition, a general sponsor meeting is organized where information about the next congress will be presented. The future Congress President introduces the congress that he/she will be hosting. EHA corporate sponsorship is integrated into the EHA congress sponsorship program. For the 13th Congress in Copenhagen the priority points system will be implemented for the second time. Corporate sponsoring will deliver the majority of points available in the system.
