2 APPLICATION SCREENING

Professor Hartmut Döhner is a member of the EHA Executive Board and EHA Education Committee and is the appointed Project Leader for EHA Scientific Workshops.

  • When selecting topics for scientific workshops, he and the EHA Education Committee will favor workshops that present state-of-the-art science and topics that may not readily receive funding from industry.

  • A teaching manual will be distributed to the participants and the speakers of the Workshop. Therefore Chairs and Speakers should accept to contribute a 2-3-page summary of their lecture accompanied by a list of references to guide further reading.
  • A preliminary program including a list of provisional speakers and topics to be covered.
  • All speakers and chairs are required to complete an on-line disclosure form at http://cme.ehaweb.org/ to report any potential conflict of interest.

4 WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS

ESH-EHA Scientific Workshops are intended to promote informal interaction and discussion between scientists and clinicians working in the field and should be developed for an audience of up to approximately 200 participants.

  • Participants may also contribute to the workshop by submitting an abstract which may be selected for either a poster or a short oral presentation.

5 MEETING REPORT

The EHA Education Committee encourages Chairs of accepted Workshops to submit either a concise summary report or a separate manuscript for publication in Haematologica/The Hematology Journal.
